Terms and Conditions

Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter our competition, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.

1. The competition is open to everyone who has liked and shared our page with the exception of Genealogy Research Assistance Admins and their immediate families.

2. No purchase necessary.

3. Only one entry per person.

4. To enter our competition you need to answer all twelve questions correctly. One question will be posted daily (with the exception of Christmas Day), starting on Christmas Eve and concluding on 5 January 2014. Details of where to send your answers will be posted on the final day.

5. The closing date for all entries is 13 January 2014

6. If you win the competition, we will notify you by email within 7 working days of the closing date. if you do not respond within 48 hours of being notified, you will forfeit your prize and Genealogy Research Assistance reserves the right to choose another winner. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

7. The winners names will be posted on our page once all notifications have been verified.

8. The prize will not be transferable to another person.

9. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

10. If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

11. Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.

12. At the close of the competition all personal details of the entrants will be deleted. No details will be passed to a third party. The exception is the winner of the Findmypast.co.uk subscription. We need to pass the winners details to the site for activation of the prize. Findmypast.co.uk is a very reputable company and will not pass your details to a third party. 

13. Genealogy Research Assistance reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. 

14. This competition is run by Genealogy Research Assistance and by participating you hereby release Facebook of any and all liability associated with this promotion

15. Genealogy Research Assistance will endeavour to send prizes within a month of the competition end date but cannot guarantee this delivery time.
